Marcia Louise Farinacci

Farinacci, Marcia L.(Hagen) 1939-2013 Preceded in death by beloved husband Tom, parents Arvid and Margaret Hagen, brother Bill Hagen and longtime friend Jackie Louk. Survived by children Ann (Sam) Rodriguez, Patrick (Susan), Tom (Jane, and her children and grandchildren) and Maria (Jim) Penberthy and (along with her children, of course) the loves of her life – grandsons Jake, Tony, and Tommy. Also survived by dear sister Margaret Robinson and her family. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Marcia worked for the –then Minnesota Senate IR Caucus and then in the Minnesota office of US Senator Rudy Boschwitz, where she managed scheduling, correspondence, administrative and outreach functions. She also acted as Director of Operations in the Governor’s Office and as Director of the Minnesota Office of Strategic and Long Range Planning. She was a committed conservative and worked on many campaigns. She was so pleased to be a very small part of Minnesota political history of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. A believer in public participation, Marcia also served on the Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board, the Minnesota Board of Psychology, the Minnesota Board of Nursing and on the Public Employees Retirement Association Board of Trustees. She has been a den mother, a Campfire Girls leader, an elementary school tutor and chair of religious programs at her parish. Marcia will also be remembered as a charter member of the St. Paul area garage/estate sale circuit. Also known as the Como Twins or the MandMs, she and her dear friend Marilyn spent more than forty happy years shopping the alleys, garages, basements, attics of St. Paul and surrounding area, absolutely convinced that great finds awaited them – if there were no treasures, there was always the laughter. And we never found the Tiffany lamp that would make us rich. Marcia’s family is extremely grateful to Katie Mancuso whose help was so instrumental to Marcia’s comfort and security. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10AM at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 Dale St., St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to the mass at church. Interment Roselawn Cemetery
