Bishop John Henry Ford, Jr. was born to John Henry Ford Sr. and Mary Shannon Ford on September 10, 1964 in Belle Glade, Florida where he attended and graduated from Glades Central Community High School with the Class of 1982. He departed this earth on February 12, 2013.

Prior to moving to Dallas, Texas in 2005, he served on the ministerial staff at New Horizons Church of God in Christ in Atlanta, Ga. There he was licensed as a minister of the Gospel by Bishop Oliver J. Hanley. He was later ordained as an Elder by Bishop Chandler David Owens in 2003.

Bishop John Ford is an Honor graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Fla. He received his Bachelors of Science Degreee in Criminal Justice. After graduating from Bethume-Cookman University, he was endorsed by Bishop L.T. Weaver of the Florida Sixth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Orlando, Fl. to attend the Charles Harrison Marrison Mason Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Ga. His degress program was Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling.

Bishop Ford is survived by his wife: Fatina Ford; parents: John Sr. and Mary Ford; (4) daughters: Tosheria Ford, Latecia Ford, Brittney Thurnond and Lurtina Jones; (2) sons: John Henry Ford III (Cornesha) and Marquis Ford; (4) sisters: Linda Darlene Bradshaw (Basil); Krisita Ford, Rozikitrina Ford (Marcel) and Ava Ford; (4) brothers: Juan Ford (Maria), Lee Edward Ford (Latoya), Marice Ford (Anitra), Jamal Hollingsworth Ford (Irene); (1) god-sister: Angela Moody (Trevor) and (1) god-brother: Marcos Francois; (8) grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
