Sister Glenda Ann Perry was born on August 3, 1951 in Live Oak, Florida. She was the oldest child of the late Nelson Perry, Sr. and Annie Bell Perry. Her father Nelson preceded her in death.Glenda received her formal education in Suwannee County and became a graduate of Suwannee High School Class of 1971. She continued her education by attending Edwards Waters College in Jacksonville, Fl. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a Member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. On Wednesday, February 13, 2013, the Lord called his daughter home at North Florida Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, Florida. She is survived by Six Children; Tracey (Nekeia) Broxey, Jacksonville, Florida, Tawanna Perry, Latisha Perry, Collis Givens III, Xavier Perry, all of Gainesville, Florida and Christopher Boyd, Live Oak, Florida. Mother, Annie Bell Perry; five brothers, Nelson (Delois) Perry, James Perry, Columbus Perry, all of Live Oak, Florida, Bruce Perry, Michael (Kanitra) Perry of Gainesville, Florida. One sister; Cappie Perry, Lake City, Florida; Two-grandchildren; Ashanti and Nikki Broxey of Jacksonville, Florida. One Aunt, Addie Cherry, Live Oak, Florida; Two Uncles, Elzie (Mary) Cherry, Live Oak, Florida, Robert Cherry, Lake Whales, Florida. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. Home going celebration for Ms. Glenda A. Perry 61, of Live Oak, Florida will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at African Missionary Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. Rev. Alex Fountain is the pastor and Moderator L.C. Hunt will officiate. Burial services will follow in New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Perry family will receive other relatives and sorrowing friends Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
