Charles

U.S. Veteran

Died peacefully at his home in Windsor on February 16, 2013. Chuck was one of the most loving men to walk the earth. Having grown up in Sebastopol, CA, Chuck enjoyed hanging with his cousins. His early years were full of the traditional fun and antics created by a group of well loved small-town boys. There is even a story about them building their own still! In later years, Chuck went to work for Pacific Bell where he retired in July, 1982. One of Chuck’s best talents was his dancing skills. Wow, could he dance! This is where he met his loving lifetime friend, Marie DeBonis. The two enjoyed twenty-six years of friendship, love, and gentle companionship. Chuck was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Teuscher. Chuck is survived by his son; Steven (Julie) Schaeffer, daughters; Stacey (Dan) Byrne and Stefanie Schaeffer. Additionally, Chuck was blessed with seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one lifetime friend, Marie DeBonis and her loving children, Danny (Merry Lou) DeBonis and Dayna (Scott) Reno. The family wishes to acknowledge and deeply thank Tom and Dolly Matthew and all of the caring staff at Dolly’s Manor Care Home, Windsor, CA. The care Chuck received while residing in their home facility was exemplary. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Funeral Liturgy Service on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409). Interment will follow at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn (7951 Bodega Avenue, Sebastopol, CA, 95472). As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions in Chuck’s name be made to your favorite charity.
