Fort Valley, GA - William Conrad "Billy" Allen, 74, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Byron Baptist Church, 100 West White Road in Byron with Rev. Keith Patterson and Rev. Max Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 S. Camellia Blvd. in Fort Valley. Born in Fort Valley to the late William Homer Allen and Helen Wilson Allen, Mr. Allen was retired from Armstrong World Industries as a shipping supervisor after 34 years of service. He was Past President and current treasurer of the Peach County Shrine Club, member of Macon Al Sihah Shrine Temple, a 32nd degree Mason, Past Master and current treasurer of Fort Valley Lodge #110, and member of Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Eleanor Wilder Allen; his faithful pet, Norris; sons, Mike (Rose) Allen of Fort Valley, Craig Allen of Fort Valley, and Reggie Allen of Macon; granddaughter, Kristin Allen of Milledgeville; brother, Marion Allen of Fort Valley; sisters, June Doles of Fort Valley and Wynelle (Harold) Estes of Fort Valley; stepsons, David (Terry) Youngblood of Milledgeville, Todd (Andrea) Youngblood of Roberta, Scott Youngblood of Roberta; step-grandchildren, Jordan Moncrief, David Youngblood, III, Holley Youngblood, Rylie Youngblood, Avary Youngblood, Sarah Youngblood and Owen Youngblood, and step-greatgrandson, Camden Moncrief. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Garrett Allen, and a son, Anthony "Tony" Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210, or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
