Richard Dennis Pendergast

U.S. Veteran

Richard Dennis Pendergast, 66, of Cottageville, husband of Trudy Aull Pendergast, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his residence.

A Gathering will be held at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 1 o’clock until Hour of Service. Memorial Service will begin at 2 o’clock PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Walterboro Baptist Church, “Building Fund”, 2177 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro, SC 29488.

Richard was born on February 26, 1946 in Huntington, West Virginia, son of the late Grant Michael and Hazel Maddox Michael. He graduated from The Plains High School in Ohio and received an Associate’s Degree from Trident Technical College. Richard was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Army and the United States Navy. He retired from Charleston Air Force Base as a steam plant foreman. He was a member of Northwood Assembly and attended North Walterboro Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife Trudy are: Four Daughters: Carrie Fletcher (Jeff), Jodi Pendergast, Tuesday Graham and Tracie Aull Adams (Greg); Two Sons: Daryle Aull (Sonya) and William “Billie” Thomas Aull (Krystal); Eight Grandsons: Devilin Fletcher, Jonathan Graham, Harley Rainwater, Dakota Rainwater, Benjamin Adams, Garrett Adams, Ian Aull and Spencer White; Five Granddaughters: Brooklyn Rainwater, Aimee Elsey, Kaitlyn Elsey, Emily Aull, and Kyla Graham; Many Nieces and Nephews; Devoted Companion “Reagan”.
