Willis "Bill" E. Lindeman age 86 of Des Plaines since 1951. He was born March 28, 1926 in Tripp, South Dakota and passed away on February 4, 2013 at his home in Des Plaines, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Marilyn ( Nee Krohn) for 63 years. Loving father of Mark Lindeman and Cathi ( Robert) Hansen. Cherished grandfather of Laura ( Michael) Barrett and David R. Hansen. Proud Great grandfather of Jake and Ryan Barrett. Dear brother of Darlene ( William ) Blake. He is also survived by his sister in law Barbara Lindeman, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by 3 siblings.

He was a graduate of Concordia College in Chicago, received his masters degree from Rosary College and received further certification from Purdue University. His professional career spanned 35 years with the Maine Township High School District. He oversaw the organizing and the opening of the Maine West High School Library where he was Dept Chair and during those years served as District 207 Director for Libraries, Media and Technologies Dept. He was very involved at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School for many years as well as many civic and church organizations

Memorial Visitation Friday February 15, 2013 beginning at 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Memorial gathering on Saturday February 16, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 855 Lee Street, Des Plaines, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Concordia University - Chicago or the Lutheran Hour Ministry. For info please call 847 699-9003.
