Jack Alexander, 72, of Perryville died February 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born on December 20, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA, son of John and Helen (Gladden) Alexander. He and Thelma Michaud were married September 5, 1963. She survives in Perryville. Mr. Alexander was a retired member of Operating Engineer Local 12 in Los Angeles, CA. He was also a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed camping and trout fishing. Jack was involved in drag racing, he also was a Nascar and drag boat racing enthusiast. Jack enjoyed collecting model trains and loved to read his bible. Other survivors include a son; Matthew (Ruth) Alexander of Littlerock, CA, four sisters; Ann (Andy) Doke of Lancaster, CA, Christine Babcock of Mira Loma, CA, Mary (Jerry) Lowell of Roland, OK, Sharon (Ron) Price of Pahrump, NV, four grandchildren; Ellen, Heather, Leigh-Anne, Alex Alexander of Littlerock, CA, and a great grandson; Caiden Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Chapel on Wednesday, February 13 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Burial will be Thursday, February 14 at Home Cemetery at 11:00 am with Rev. Roger Ely officiating. Memorial are preferred to Teen Challenge in Cape Girardeau.
