Floyd Jewdon DuBose Sr., 75, of Purvis, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 9, 2013. Services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis followed by burial in Dixie Cemetery.
Mr. DuBose was an Iron Worker for Corrugated Asbestos. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Purvis and also a member of the Iron Workers Local #469.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pellie V. Graham DuBose; his parents John Wesley and Minnie Lee Sellers DuBose; and his brothers, Glen M., Burl J., Bill, Jewel and Willie C. DuBose.
He is survived by his wife, Twila DuBose of Purvis; Floyd “Don” DuBose of Hattiesburg; daughters Lisa Cook, of Pope; and Cindy Christopher of San Bernadino, Cali.; sister Hazel Patrick of Brooklyn; grandsons Dustin Graham DuBose, Lukas Boone DuBose of Hattiesburg and Cody Cook of Pope; granddaughters Harley and Pellie Cook of Pope; and neighbors that are as close as family, Chad and Ginny Dufrene.
Visitation will be Monday night from 5-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis. Any memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Purvis Building Fund.
