Armon Floyd Neff

U.S. Veteran

Armon F. Neff, age 86, of Electra, Texas, passed away Tuesday morning, January 15, 2013, at the Electra Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with Paul Winegeart, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Armon was born July 21, 1926 in Electra, Texas to Floyd E. Neff and Rubie Darnell Neff.

He married Dorothy Jo Bowery on March 2, 1946. She proceeded in death on May 7, 1989. He then married Nancy on October 16, 2010 in Electra.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Electra Lodge # 1067 for over fifty years where he held several offices including Worshipful Master during the 75th Anniversary of the Electra Lodge.

He was a member of the United Association of Local 798 Pipeline Welders Union for sixty years. After his retirement from pipeline construction, he owned A.F. Neff Gunsmith for several years. Armon loved to watch the History Channel.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Electra; one son, Rickey Neff and wife, Mary of Odessa, Texas; three step-daughters, Marsha Wilson and husband, Gary of Wichita Falls, Gay Graham of Electra, and Denise Rich and husband, Jay of Harrold; one step-son, Chris Graham and wife, Monica of Mazon, Illinois; one step-sister, Velma Greer of Electra; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, R.C. and Amos Eaves; and one sister, Effie Fraker.

The family suggests memorials to the Meals on Wheels Program C/O Senior Citizens Center, 503 West Michigan Ave. Electra, Texas 76360.
