Colonie – Robert J. Dupont, beloved husband of Joan White Dupont, died Sunday, February 03, 2013, at the Diamond Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with his family by his side. Born and raised in Green Island, son of the late Arthur and Isabelle Maxwell Dupont, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Bob had been employed by the former Bendix Corporation, now Honeywell, for 34 years, retiring in 1981. He was an avid baseball fan and his favorite teams were the NY Mets and the NY Giants and his favorite player was Willie Mays. Bob had also bowled with the Bendix team many years ago. He was a devoted husband and father and was known to all as a kind and gentle person. In addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by his devoted son, Robert (Sue) Dupont of Ballston Spa; his grandson, Adam (Joy) Stallmer of Waterford; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services, led by Father Donald Kelly, will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue in Green Island. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to services. Interment services in Saratoga National Cemetery will be held next week.
