Louise Craig Edmond

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Louise Craig Edmond will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the COGIC of Northern, MS. State Headquarters 376 Sunflower Ave. Clarksdale, MS 38164

Visitation will be held at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS. 835 Florida Ave. Clarksdale, MS 38164

On October 13, 1938 Mrs. Louise Craig Edmond was born to the late Jeff and Ester Craig. She was the sixth child of eleven. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Duncan at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Oneida, AR. 

Louise attended high school in Lakeview, Arkansas. On July 23, 1962, she married the “Love of her Life”, Climent J. Edmond Sr. To this union 13 children were born.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Ester Craig Sr., two brothers, JC Craig Jr., and Eddie Lee Craig Sr., three sisters, Ophelia Hennigan, Ethel Leen Brown, and Ollie Mae Lindsey; one sister-in-law, Irene Wesley; one brother-in-law Cornelius Edmond and one son-in-law David Earl Wide Sr.,

She leaves her legacy to be cherished by her husband of more than 50 years, Climent J. Edmond of Clarksdale, MS; seven daughters Pamela (Ivory) Gilmore of Elaine, AR; Sandra (Ben) Mckay of Rowlett, TX; Cathy (The late David) Wide of Clarksdale, MS; Jaqueline Humphrie of Milwaukee, WI, Barbara (James) Patterson of Tutwiler, MS; LaToya (James) Leflore of Bartlett, IL; and Linda (Tyrone) Rowsey of Horn Lake, MS; six sons, Climent Edmond Jr., of Southaven, MS; Michael (Simone) Edmond of Mesquite, TX; Anthony (Linda) Edmond of Stone Mountain, GA; Carl (Tonia) Edmond of Fayetteville, GA; Timothy Edmond of Horn Lake, MS; and Marques Edmond of Robinsonville, MS; three sisters Walter Pearl (James) Bradley of Bellwood, IL; Shirley (Albert) Lee of Chicago, IL; and Bobbie Kimbrough of Dawson, GA; three brothers Lawrence Craig of Grand Rapid, MI; James (Jeanette) Holmes and Vincent (Vondra) Craig of West Helena, AR; five sister-in-laws Josephine Arrington, Shirley Lewis, Velma Allen, Ruby Dean, and Nita Watson; six brother-in-laws Freddie Edmond, Melvin Edmond, Willie James Edmond, William Edmond, Johnny Edmond, and Floyd Edmond; two special daughters Qwen Brooks and Pat Townsend of Milwaukee, WI; one special son Joseph (Sandra) Wide of Clarksdale, MS; thirty four grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
