Arline Koenig

Arline Koenig, 93, of Perryville, MO, formerly of Frohna, died February 1, 2013 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, MO.

She was born on May 19, 1919 in Altenburg, MO, daughter of Oscar and Concordia (Lohman) Petzoldt. She and Eldor E. Koenig married on February 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1999.

Mrs. Koenig had been a home maker. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, MO. She loved farming, gardening and growing flowers.

Survivors include one daughter, Korlyn (Eugene) Degenhardt of St. Louis, MO; one son, Dale (Sandy) Koenig of Perryville; one brother, Lewis Petzoldt of Altenburg, ; four grandchildren, Karl (Debbie) Degenhardt, Kathy Degenhardt Vance, Joseph (Nicole) Koenig, Jessie (Mike) Feldmann; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leo and Harry Petzoldt; one sister, Dorothy Winter; and one granddaughter, Heather Hornberger.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 3 at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and on Monday, February 4 from 6:30 to 8:15am. She will then be taken to Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna for service at 10:00 am with Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial in church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to United in Christ Lutheran School.
