Billy Johns, 80, of Hapeville, passed away January 30, 2013. Mr. Johns was born in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late Arnold Corbett Johns and Emma Frances Browning Johns, and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Johns was retired from Atlanta Dairies. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Thomas Johns, and is survived by his wife, Myrtle Johns, of Hapeville, son, Billy (Sharon) Johns, Jr., of Lavonia, daughters: Dixie Diane Sasser, of Lavonia, Linda (Ron) Eggers, of Hudson, NC, Faye (Edward) Hovell, of Theodore, AL, and Connie Guthrie, of Winston Salem, NC, stepsons: Russell Rollins, of Douglasville, and David (Sylvia) Rollins, of Ozark, AL, stepdaughters: Dianne (Bill) Childers, of Lithia Springs, and Doris Ann Carnes, of Atlanta, brothers: Arnold Johns, of Hollins, AL, Franklin Johns, of Atlanta, Tilburn Johns, of Sylacauga, AL, and Marvin Johns, also of Sylacauga, AL, sister: Shirley Blair, of Sawmills, NC, 21 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Wayne Fowler will be held in our chapel, Friday, February 01, 2013, at 11:00AM, with interment following in College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8PM.
