Robert Archie Goff
Robert Archie Goff, 85, of Kingwood died Monday, January 28, 2013 in Golden Living Center with family by his side.
He was born April 1, 1927, in Little Italy, Marion County a son of the late Howard and Jessie Trowbridge Goff.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He worked as a coal miner for J&H Coal. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed tinkering with all kinds of things, cars, saws, and lawnmowers, loved playing his guitar and singing for his family. Robert was Methodist by faith.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Izetta Smith Goff; two sons and spouses, Donnie Goff and Fiancée Theresa Goff of Terra Alta, and Terry and wife, Roxana Goff of Kingwood; a daughter and companion, Patricia Thomas and Gay Dalton of Morgantown, a brother, Lawrence (Toot) Goff of Kingwood and sister, Margaret Smith of Kingwood; 13grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Goff, Sr.; a grandson, Scotty Goff; daughter in-law, Marsha Goff; two brothers and two sisters and two sisters in law.
Friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 4-8 pm and Thursday 31, from 10-11am the funeral hour with Reverend Sam Starling officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Preston County VFW Posts, Preston County Chapter 977, Vietnam Veterans of America and West Virginia Honor Guard from Camp Dawson. Interment in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
