Jefferson Twp.: Louis G. Fahsbender, Sr. passed away January 24, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice/Dover General. He was 82.
Born in Paterson, Louis lived in the Milton section of the township since 1959.
Mr. Fahsbender served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Missouri.
Lou was employed by NJ Bell Telephone for over 36 years as a telephone lineman and served for a period of time as a union delegate.
Lou, aka Duke and Big Lou, was active in town, including serving as a Board of Education Member between 1963 and 1980. He also served on the township Planning Board in the 1960’s and was also active in later years on the Community Dispute Resolution Committee.
Pre-deceased by his brother Frank.
Survived by his wife of 54 years: Josephine (Monaco) Fahsbender

Leah Whalen and her husband Robert Whalen
Four Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Katherine Fahsbender
