She married Earl Smull Jr. in Bowling Green Kentucky in 1942. Violet was a homemaker for many years before she was employed by J.C. Penney in Decatur. She later worked for Newman’s Department store, from which she retired. After retirement, Violet continued working for Fathauer’s Mall in Moweaqua. Violet lived in the Sanner Chapel area for many years where she served an active role in the community. Surviving are her son, Ronald and wife Carol Ann Smull of Moweaqua, daughter Carol Sue Ropp of Gainesville, FL, daughter-in-law Tami Smull of Gilbert, AZ, grandchildren; MSgt.
