Erma Lee Walker Lambert, entered her Heavenly home on January 7, 2013. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home in Itasca. Interment: Itasca Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Erma was born on September 20, 1914 in Water Valley, Mississippi to James and Amanda Burt Walker. The family moved to Texas in 1920. She married the love of her life, Howard Lambert in 1934. He preceded her in death in April 1987. Erma worked at the Itasca Cotton Mill and the Itasca Nursing Home. She enjoyed many activities over her lifetime including dancing, crocheting and needlepoint. She loved giving her handmade works of art to her family and friends. Erma also kept personal records of births, deaths, marriages, and a list of her many visitors.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 7 sisters, Annie, Minnie, Fannie, Idell, Mayford, Baby Doll, and Mattie; and 2 brothers, Lynn and John.
Erma is survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews, too numerous to count. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. We Love you Aunt Erma...
