Deborah Elaine Davis
Deborah Elaine Davis, 64 of Kingwood, after a courageous battle with cancer, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her battle with cancer had lasted for seven years but Deborah remained positive and very active throughout.
She was born December 6, 1948, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late William A. and Faye A. Childers Carr.
Deborah was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She had worked many years ago as a teachers aide for Kingwood Elementary, a bookkeeper for Preston Memorial Hospital and a telephone operator for C&P Telephone Company.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, DelRoy Richard (Dickie) Davis Jr.; two daughters, Audrey Davis and Julie Davis, both of Kingwood; a niece, Polly Fletcher of Kingwood and a beloved grand dog, Boomer, her faithful companion when she wasn’t feeling well.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, William H. Carr; a sister, Patsy Fletcher and a cousin, Bobby Childers.
Family and friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Wednesday January 9 from 5-9 pm and on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 12 noon till 1 pm the funeral hour with Reverend Kevin Sions officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.
