Wilma A. Davenport a long time resident of Buena Park, California, passed away on January 3rd 2013 at the age of 91.
Wilma was an active member of Christ Community Church of Buena Park for more than 50 years. She participated in Senior Olympics for over 20 years, earning over 100 medals in various events. Wilma was a proud member of the volunteer CAPS program that assists the Buena Park Police Department. She could be seen often with her friends at the shuffle board lanes at the Buena Park Senior Center. Wilma lived in California for over 60 years but was also very proud to be from Ohio.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, 4:00 p.m., at the Christ Community Church of Buena Park, 6575 Crescent Ave., Buena Park, California 90620.
Private family burial will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, Ca. 92519
She leaves behind her husband, Robert E. Davenport; sons Steve and Robert; sisters Viola Gower, Anne Bates and Eva (Babe) Esposito; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and her eldest son Lawrence Lazo Futchko.
Wilma will be missed by many and will be forever in our hearts.
