Beloved Father


Mr. Fred J. Bruno, 66, of Oakville, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. Fred was born in Waterbury on December 5, 1946, son of the late Anthony J. and Jane (Rosa) Bruno. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1965 and served his country honorably in the Vietnam War. Shortly after the war Fred married his love Anita Frenis with whom he fathered his two beloved daughters. Fred was a handyman and could fix just about anything, he loved cars and although he struggled with his health through the years, he was known for his keen wit and sense of humor and he never missed a chance to crack a joke.


Beside his longtime love Anita, who cared for him dearly in his final days, he leaves behind two daughters, Cathy Barbosa and her husband Tony of West Hartford, Kim Collini and her husband Charles P., Jr. of
Waterbury; and five beloved grandchildren, Anthony John Barbosa, Michael Collini, Chelsey Barbosa, Carlie Collini and Nico Collini.    


Arrangements: All services will be held at the convenience of the family. The arrangements have been entrusted to Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home,
430 Chase Parkway.
