Laura G. Bouton, 94, of New City, NY, died on December 28, 2012, of natural causes. Born on December 10, 1918, in South Ozone Park, NY, to the late Laura (Baldwin) and John Hanna, Laura was raised in New Jersey and spent the last 70 years in Rockland County. On November 12, 1942, she married George Edward Bouton, her loving husband of 53 years. He predeceased her in February 1995. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Bouton Thurber of Brooklyn, NY, Patricia Lowry (David) of Duxbury, MA, and son Ed Bouton, Jr. (Mary) of Rye, NY. She was predeceased by her daughters Gloria Franklin and Suzanne MacDonald as well as her six older brothers. She is also survived by grandchildren Jessie McDade, Jed Lowry, Lina Verderese, James MacDonald, Ed Bouton III, Jeff Bouton and Katie Bouton and great-grandchildren Victoria and Christian Verderese and Alec Lowry. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be remembered for the warm, loving home she created for her extended family and for her love of animals. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Pearl River. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pearl River, followed by interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Nyack.
