Alan Cleveland Hurt

Alan C. Hurt, age 60, of Sedalia, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on November 23, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Charles and Irene (Usher) Hurt.

He grew up in Ohio and graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1970. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served a term of eleven months. On August 12, 1987 he was united in marriage to Patricia Dianne Lomax, in Mentor, Ohio. They made their home in Vienna, Virginia, until moving to Warsaw in 1992 and later to Sedalia. He was employed as a Production Assistant for Inter-State Studio in Sedalia since 2007.

Alan is a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, of Warsaw.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Karen Carlson and an infant brother, Calvin Hurt.

He is survived by his wife Patty, of the home, one son, Christopher Hurt, of Sedalia, one step-daughter, Theresa Edwards, and her husband Joe, of Sedalia, four grandchildren; Emily, Ethan, Eli and Evelyn Edwards, two sisters; Judy Hurt, of Willoughby, Ohio and Heidi Campbell, and her husband Butch, of Mentor, Ohio, one brother Stu Hurt, and his wife Eileen, of Mentor, Ohio, his step-mother, Mary Hurt, of Willoughby, Ohio, three step-brothers; Ricky Jenkins, of Aiken, South Carolina, Richard Jenkins, of Mentor, Ohio and Rodney Driscoll, of Aiken, South Carolina, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services for Alan C. Hurt will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Cedar Grove Church with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
