Wallace(Wally)E.Reynolds,80,of Belvidere passed away Wednesday December 26,2012 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born September 16,1932 in Streator, Il.. Parents were Harry(Bob) and Violet Reynolds. Married Pat Heusel September 6,1953. Four children,Lana(husband Kurt)Kohout of Green Bay,Wi. Lori Reynolds of Rockford. Randy Reynolds of Belvidere. Karen Reynolds of Loves Park. Two Grandsons Brett(wife Ellen)Kohout and Tyler Kohout both of Green Bay,Wi. Two Granddaughters Brandy and Nicole Reynolds. Two Brothers Ronnie(wife Jeanette)Reynolds of Morton,Il. and Gordy(wife Janice)Reynolds of Germantown,Tn. Wally graduated from Lostant High School in 1950. Graduated From University of Illinois in 1954. Wally served in the military from 1954 to 1956. Assistant Farm Advisor in Amboy,Il.(Lee County) from 1956 to 1960. Moved to Belvidere in 1960 to become Boone County Agriculture Advisor until 1996. Retired In 1996 due to an abdominal aneurysm which ruptured leaving Wally disabled. Served as President of Illinois Extension Advisor Association. President of Boone County United Way. President of Northern Illinois 4-H Association. Served on the Community School District #100 Board of Education. Served on the Special Education Board and Board of Directors of Belvidere Chamber of Commerce. Received North Central Weed Control Extension Award. Honored by Chamber of Commerce “Doctor of Civic Betterment” Award. Received Gama Sigma Delta-Farm House Fraternity of University of Illinois-Edward Mathison Farm Bureau Award. Wally’s wishes are to be cremated with a private service(family only). No Visitation. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his name at a later date to be determined by family. Arrangements by Belvidere Funeral Home. Condolences to belviderefh.com.
