Funeral Services for Ms. Frances Juanita Borders, age 89, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Gregory’s Chapel Assembly of God Church, Humboldt, TN with Gary Williams and Rev. Bill McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt, TN. Ms. Borders was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Matilda Kernodle. She lived most of her life in Crockett County near or in Gadsden. She graduated from Gadsden Public School as Historian of her class. Ms. Borders worked at Milan Arsenal before becoming a beautician and owning her own shop. She then chose to take on another roll as an LPN. She worked over 30 years in that field before retiring in 1997. Ms. Borders was a loving mother and grandmother to her family and possessed a strong love for the Lord and her church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Borders; parents, Aubrey and Matilda Kernodle; brother, Richard Kernodle. She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Tommy) Smith of Gadsden, Sharon (Ray) Todd of Trenton; three grandchildren, Marsha (Jared) Foust of Alamo, Leslie (Tosh) Newman of Three Way, Keith Dickerson of Humboldt; three great-grandchildren, Alex Morphis, Cade Morphis and Ford Newman; three step-grandchildren, Jacob (Pam) Todd of Riverside, New Jersey, Stacy (Ben) Doss of Trenton, Misty (Tim) Bass of Trenton; three step great-grandchildren, Ian Todd, Emma Doss and Carmen Doss. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 5-8 pm at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo and Saturday, December 29, 2012 11:00 am until time of service at Gregory’s Chapel Assembly of God Church, Humboldt, TN. Pallbearers for the service will be Tosh Newman, Jared Foust, Brian Morphis, Doug Brown, Bill Black and Jerry Black.
