James Henry Gibbar, Jr., 82, of Perryville, MO, died December 13, 2012 at Independence Care Center of Perry County. He was born on January 24, 1930 in Crane Island, IL, son of James H. Gibbar, Sr. and Mary Ella (Belsha) Gibbar. Mr. Gibbar married Faye Francis Hagan in August 1953. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2010. Mr. Gibbar was a general contractor and owner of General G. Construction Company, Industrial Foam, and Gibbar Technology. He was the inventor of the patented and award- winning GibbarWall Insulated Panel Wall Systems. He also was president of Lake KahTanDa Association and a member of the National Guard. Survivors include five daughters: Sherry (Tony) Gibbar Roberts of Apple Valley, MN; Tina (Danny) Gibbar Clements of Cape Girardeau; Connie (Ronnie) Gibbar Hotop and Donna (Brad) Gibbar Zoellner, both of Perryville; Diane (Jeff) Gibbar Philliber of Grayson, GA; one sister, Jeanette Brown of Perryville; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye, one grandson: Chad Hotop, and six siblings. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Sunday, December 16 from 8:00 am until the time of Service at 10:00 am. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at Young & Sons Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials are preferred for visitation and memorial service at funeral home. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
