Michelina M. (Terranova) Kelly

Of Lansing

Michelina Mary (Terranova) Kelly, born July 12, 1925, entered her heavenly reward Saturday, December 8, 2012, the feast day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. She joined the love of her life Alfred Kelly who died in 1992. As a Mom, Grandma, Sister, Girlfriend, Neighbor and Aunt Lena, she will always be alive in our hearts. She was a charter member of St Gerard Church and the School Secretary for over 30 years. An active volunteer and member of the Alpha Club, the Association of Catholic Women, St Lawrence Gift shop and St Gerard money collection team. She loved by giving of herself. She enjoyed making homemade bread, playing cards, cutting out crossword puzzles to share and her emails were a smile to us all.

Survived by her children: Mary(Ken) French and Shane (Maggie) Kelly; grandchildren Jerry (Brandie), Mike (Erika) Tricia, Alecia and Jena(fiance-Thom Monroe) and 6 great-grandchildren, a brother Sam(Alice) Terranova, brother in law Jim (Barbara) Eddy and many adoring nephews and nieces and extended family. Mom to "Al's Boys", the Smiths, and special love to the Dulyeas, caregivers Linda, Elaine and Rich. Preceding her in death are her parents Albert and Mary Terranova and her sister Marie Terranova.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 10:30AM at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Rite of committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30PM. Visitation continue Thursday at 9:30AM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sisters of St Joseph, 3629 Gull Rd, Kalamazoo, MI, 49048.
