Faye E. Lamping

Age 90 of Wilmington, passed away Friday January 25, 2008 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet surrounded by her family.

Born August 29, 1917 in Flanagan, IL, Faye was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary Elizabeth Davis. She was a graduate of St. Anne High School and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington.

Survivors include two sons: George Lamping and Harriette Haley of Manhattan and William and Lori Lamping of Clifton; two daughters: Katherine Lamping of Urbana and Helen Lamping of Wilmington; one daughter-in-law Barbara Lamping; two granddaughters and two grandsons: Andrew, Sarah, Robert and Kathy (Calvin), and numerous great grandchildren, as well as her special friend and caregiver Rebecca Fiandacca.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert E. Lamping in 1959; sons: Leo and James Lamping; grandson Clarence Allen Lamping; three brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 28, 2008 between the hours of 3:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday January 29th at 10:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Faye’s memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, Wilmington High School Library or the Zion Lutheran School Computer Fund in Clifton.
