Kathy Burns, 58, died December 1, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center. Services will be Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Burns retired as an operator with Bellsouth and worked for Honey Bake Ham.
She was a devoted member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she met one of her most beloved friends in this world, Mr. Richard Breazeale. Richard and Kathy enjoyed cruises, motorcycle rides and long comfy evenings at home.
She loved life to the fullest. She worked extremely hard to have what she wanted and worked extra hard for her family. Her love for animals was one of a kind, especially for horses. The only love that trumped her love for horses was the love she had for her husband and daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Reo Burns.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Casey and Toby Adams of Petal; one granddaughter, Ava Adams of Petal; her mother, Billie Baumann of Petal; two sisters, Linda Williams and Sally Speed both of Petal; special friend Richard Breazeale Hattiesburg; three step-daughters, Cheryl McKesson of Tenn., Julie Plewinski of Va. and Alice Boyd of S.C and one step-son, Allen Burns of Petal.
Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2012 from 5:30-9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
She will be missed sorely and be loved forever.
