Amy Allen Gohagan

Amy Allen Gohagan, age 87 of 16767 Country Cross Road in Florala died Saturday December 1, 2012 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Theoter and Bessie Bundrick Kelley. Amy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, and adored every moment she spent with her family. Amy was an exceptional cook and was known for her divinity candy. When she wasn't cooking for her family get togethers she was taking care of her vegetable garden around her house. Amy was a dedicated church leader, and was an active member for over 33 years to the New Mount Zion Primative Baptist Church. Her biggest legacy however, is the immeasurable mark she left on her family. She will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Amy was preceded in death by two husbands, Harold (Pete) Allen and Shadrach Gohagan; father, Theoter Kelly; mother, Bessie Bundrick Kelly; two sisters, Hazel Edmondson and Malona Bess; one brother, Harmon Kelley. Amy is survived by two daughters, Jill Allen of Florala and Debbie Birge and husband Mike of Florala, two sons, Mike Allen and wife Wanda of Florala, Steve Geohagan and wife Rhonda of Florala, two brothers, Emory Kelley of Chipley, FL and Randal Kelley of Milton, FL, one sister, Clara Kuklo of Milton, FL, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Amy Allen Gohagan will be 2 PM Monday December 3, 2012 at Evans Funeral Home with Reverend J W Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at Damascus Cemetery.
