Edward A. Georg, 76, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at home.
He was born on March 6, 1936, in Fond du Lac, a son of Edwin R. and Helen M. VanderMolen Georg.
He graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in 1954, and he worked for Rueping Leather for many years.
Ed was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.
He is survived by a sister, Joan (Dale) Lubeck; two nieces: Susan Meyer and Karen (Pat) Fee; four great-nieces and great-nephews: Steve (Nola) Stahmann, Kimberly Vesper, Matthew (Cass) Stahmann, and Shawn Meyer; five great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews: Anthony Vesper, Jessica and Lindsay Vesper, Ireland Stahmann, and Maci Stahmann. He is further survived by three godchildren: Sue Meyer, David Klipstein, and Shawn Meyer; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew-in-law, Roy Meyer.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600 South Main Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Michael Zuberbier officiating. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Monday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
