Julia P. Walski, of Westchester, IL. Julia died Tuesday from the complications of metastatic breast cancer. She was 59. She is survived by her husband, Fred Walski; her stepchildren, Stacey Van Dyke (David) and her child, Royal of Arizona, Brad Walski of Atlanta; her mother, Jayne Pheiffer of Rockford; her brother, Phillip Pheiffer (Eileen) of St. Louis and their children, Brittany, Evan, Austin and Anna; in-laws, Lorraine Walski of St. Charles, Gary Walski of Brookfield, Wayne Walski (Janet) of Bartlett and their children, Kevin of Chicago, Shana (Willy) of Arizona; her father (deceased), was Gene Pheiffer of Monmouth. Julia was a 1974 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Macalester College and had a career in bookselling and publishing with B. Dalton, and Contemporary Books, a Tribune Company from which she retired as a senior vice president. Post-retirement, she worked part time for the Farm Foundation. She was active in charities and Christian ministries. A Memorial Service will take place this Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 120 E. First St., Hinsdale, IL.
