Barbara Pearl Adcock

Barbara Pearl Mann Marlar Adcock passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the age of 73. She was born in Warren, AR on March 8, 1939. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, A. M. and Lillie Mann and her husband of 21 years, James Adcock. Barbara retired from International Paper Company, Bag Pak Division at age 55. Her first loving concern in life was her two sons and their families. She was a caring and giving grandmother and loved to have them all for the holidays.

Barbara was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. She was a lover of music and enjoyed being a member of the church choir and the love of being a church angel. Her graduating class of Camden 1957 was a special part of her life. She was an organizer for recent reunions.

She is survived by her two sons, Stan Marlar (Carol) of Camden, AR and Brad Marlar (Cheyla) of Locust Bayou, AR; her grandchildren, Christopher Stanley Marlar, Taylor Marlar, Blain Marlar, Kendall Marlar, Krista Davis, Terra Davis; and one great granddaughter, Heidi Monroe Marlar.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fairview United Methodist Church followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
