Mary Ann (Merrill) Fleming

Mary A (Merrill) Fleming, age 81, wife of the late Robert Fleming of Lynn, died Monday, November 12, 2012 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a long illness.

Born in Lynn the daughter of the late William and Winifred (Robinson) Merrill, she was educated at St. Mary’s Grammar and High School Following her graduation, Mrs. Fleming became employed at General Electric in West Lynn. As her family grew , Mrs. Fleming raised her children and later worked at Surrette Battery, U.S Plastics and later at Hoffman’s until her retirement.

Her primary focus life was family and their needs. She was a devoted and loving wife who had truly married her soul mate. Together they had raised a family the were very proud of.

Mrs. Fleming is survived by two daughters Kathy O’Connor and her husband Richard of Nahant and Mary Ellen Radabaugh of Salem; four grandchildren Richard O’Connor of Clearwater, FL, Ryan Radabaugh of Nahant, Joseph O’Connor of Scottsdale, AZ and Brent O’Connor of NY, NY; Two step-daughters Kathy Higgins of Tacoma, WA, Carolyn Fleming-Oquendo of Lynn, MA and a stepson Thomas Fleming and his wife Meritza of Lancaster, CA.

She was predeceased by a stepson Robert Fleming, United States Air Force. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 8:15AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem. to be followed by a funeral Mass at St. Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Ave, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be from 7:45 AM until 8:15AM on Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, c/o Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St, Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923.
