Sunrise December 1, 1929- Sunset- November 3, 2012 Sister Pleazola was born in Lumpkin (Stewart County), Georgia and moved to Columbus as a child with her parents Mr. Jake and Mrs. Ludie W. Thomas (both preceded her in death). Pleazola was the oldest of eight children (five brothers preceded her in death) Freddie J. Thomas, Moses E. Thomas, Arthur Thomas, Milton Thomas and Leon Thomas) All gone to be with the Lord.

Sister Bennett attended schools in the Muscogee County School System. Pleazola united with the Macedonia Baptist Church in 1940. She served as an Usher, Hostess, Program Committee and Director of the Youth Department for many years. Ms. Bennett was married to the late William Bennett.

Sister Bennett was the mother of four children (three preceded her in death) Leila Ann Piernas, Curtis M. Bennett and Debee V. Bennett. She leaves one son Antonio Johan Epps, one brother Pastor Daniel (Margie A.) Thomas and one sister Judie (William) Grimes. Three Grandchildren Wheytoniah C. Piernas Brooks- Boone (Columbus, Georgia) Satarius K. Piernas (Los Angles, California) and Krystal A. Patton (Columbus, Georgia). Three great-grand's, two great-great grand, eight nieces, six nephews and other family members and friends.
