Reva Z. Bailey, 97.
Reva Zola Bailey, 97, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Mrs. Bailey was born on September 12, 1915 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late John and Mamie Thompson Fadley. She worked for Farm Bureau, Burkholder’s Orchard and retired from the JMU housekeeping department. She was a member of Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church. On June 24, 1934, she married Charles Lloyd Bailey who passed away July 10, 1995. Surviving is a daughter, Shirley T. Reubush and husband Glenwood of Linville; two sons, L. Carlton Bailey and wife Theresa; Wayne B. Bailey and wife Frances all of Harrisonburg; six grandchildren, Pam Smith, Kay Whetzel, Craig Bailey, Cynthia Foulke, Beverley Evans, Tammy Browning; fifteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Harbin, Treva Simmons; a brother, Ralph Fadeley; and a grandson, Todd Bailey. Reverend Jan G. Owens and Roy Hedrick will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
