Walter Neal Gosney, age 93, of Lake Village, died Thursday, November 01, 2012, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born January 20, 1919, in Peno, Oklahoma, the son of the late Walter William Gosney and Dovie Jobe Gosney. Mr. Gosney was a retired lifetime Farmer, and a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Gosney was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Mae Gosney, a son, Billy Gosney, a brother, Elsie Gosney, a half-brother, Clarence Day, and a sister, Edna Taylor. He is survived by, 2 sons, James Gosney and wife Linda of Russellville, and Ronnie Gosney and wife Barbara of McGehee; 3 daughters, Barbara Turner and husband Joe of Colorado Springs, Linda Barber and husband Grover “Jr.” of Star City, and Patricia Potter and husband Bill of Atlanta, Georgia; 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends
Visitation is 5-7PM Friday, November 2, 2012, at Bishop Funeral Home in Lake Village. Funeral Services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Lake Village Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
