Lloyd David Ivey, age 61,passed away on Thursday, October 25,2012. Lloyd was a Gary resident for 61 years, a graduate of the Roosevelt High School Class of '69, a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of the Guardsmen Bowling League, Club Aramis and a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Ivey, sisters, Thelma Phillips and Wanda Ivey and brother, Andrew Ivey. He is survived by his wife, Betty Ivey, son Aaron (Michelle) Ivey and daughter LaShawn Ivey (Stacy) Shaw. He also leaves three grandchildren, Tamara,DeAngelo and De'mon, two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, special cousin, Lewis Thornton and a host of nieces,nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday,November 1, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., family hour, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, Indiana, Pastor Charles E. Adams, officiating. Mr.Ivey will be buried at Evergreen Memorial Park, 3815 W. 39th Avenue, Hobart, Indiana. ~
