SALEM --- Elizabeth “Midge” Beagle, 69, passed away peacefully Oct. 24, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Queensbury, with her family by her side. Born June 3, 1943 in Troy and raised in Stillwater, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Rita (Grignon) DeCota. Midge married William Beagle June 18, 1960, proudly spending 48 years together, until his passing in 2008. Midge had the privilege of being a homemaker and raising her children. Her life revolved around her family, which meant the world to her. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, and she also enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents and husband, Midge was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Mike DeCota, a grandson, Joey Sabo, and a brother-in-law, Richard Fifield. Survivors include four children, Darcy Sabo (Jason Farndell), Dustin Beagle (Cory Egnasher), Derek Beagle, and Darla (LeMaire); 14 grandchildren, Jamie, Jade, Jassie, Sierra, Will, Sarah, Savannah, Joel, (Kiara), Nate, Matt, Dusty, Billy, and Allie; two sisters, (Laurie) Fifield and Linda (Reggie) Durrin; a sister-in-law, Helen DeCota; and a special friend, Jill Rasmussen; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will take place Monday, Oct. 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Smith, High Peaks Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Argyle.
