Marie Iannello

Marie Iannello, 81, of Hacienda del Rio in Edgewater died Oct 26. Marie was born in Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years "Chuck". They came to Florida in 1992 from Massapequa, NY. She and Chuck loved ballroom dancing and were often referred to as "Fred and Ginger" on the dance floor. Other pastimes included dominoes, cards, and live theater. A seamstress and homemaker, she was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Theresa Jo Iannello of Jacksonville, Laura Hagerman (Artie) of Port Orange, Jimmy Iannello (Penny) of Jackson, NJ; sister, "Mickey" Caropolo of Staten Island, NY, 7 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Keri, Michelle, Ashley, Brianna, Christina, and Cole; nieces, nephews, surviving in-laws; and a special new friend Michael. Marie's family, friends and especially her grandchildren meant the world to her.

A Christian Burial Mass will be held Fri. Nov 2nd at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Smyrna Beach, FL. Entombment will follow at the Veterans Wall of Honor at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, FL. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Thurs Nov. 1st at the Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach Chapel where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
