Sarah Ann Carpenter Clark, 65, died Saturday October 20 at her home in Corinth, MS. Sarah was born November 20, 1946 in Petal, MS to Woodrow and Anna Carpenter. A Petal High School graduate and she continued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Anna Carpenter, as well as her brother, Wilson Carpenter. Survivors include her only child, Alexis Lee Clark Rudd & her husband Thad Rudd whom Sarah lovingly called “Big Daddy”; two grandsons, Chance Allen Alphin and Zachary Lathan Rudd whom she loved dearly; one sister, Anna Lynne Carpenter Saucier and her husband, Albert Saucier and their two children, Michelle Saucier Coats and David Saucier; one sister-in-law, Krista Ross Carpenter and her three children, Kayce Sisson, Katherine Carpenter and Scott Carpenter; as well as her lifelong friend, Elaine Grantham; and two special friends Pennie Summerlin and Rose Payne. We cannot forget her beloved dog, Caesar who went everywhere with her. She leaves behind many cousins, great nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends. Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Moore Funeral Home in Petal, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. with services immediately following. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
