John T. Bowen age 58 years died in his East Walpole, Massachusetts home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 12, 1954, he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Newton Centre with the class of 1971. He went on to graduate from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with the class of 1978. He has been a resident of East Walpole, Massachusetts since 2001 moving there from Dorchester Lower Mills and previously Marshfield. He grew up in Brighton and summered in Marshfield.

Mr. Bowen owned and operated Dudley Exterminating in East Walpole for 20 years. Prior to that he had worked in real estate for various companies on the South Shore.

He enjoyed traveling, dancing, watching the Bruins, was proud of his Irish heritage, and spending time in Marshfield. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and watching his children play sports.

Beloved husband of Jill E. (Cantwell) Bowen. Loving father of Julia Bowen and Aidan F. Bowen both of East Walpole. Devoted son of Frances V. (McGuiness) Bowen and the late Gerald F. Bowen. Brother of Jean Bowen of Brighton, Jay Bowen of Toronto, David Bowen of Waltham, Joanne Laferrara of Taunton, and Dennis Bowen of Waltham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, October 26, 2012 from 3-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery in Walpole. Memorial donations may be made to: John T. Bowen Family Fund c/o Sharon Credit Union 2 Union Street E. Walpole, MA 02032.
