U.S. Veteran

Alvin “Sonny” Enlow of Darlington, passed away Saturday morning at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 74.

Mr. Enlow served in the Air Force for four years. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School with the class of 1956. He spent his life trucking and hauling equipment. He was always in his truck and put in many hours.

Born August 6, 1938 in Harrison County, Indiana, he was the son of William Thomas Enlow and Martha Elnora Dobson Enlow. He married Carol Herman Enlow on August 19, 1960 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She survives.

Additional survivors include four sons, Al Enlow of West Lafayette, Joe (Michele) Enlow of Waynetown, Pat Enlow of Darlington and Billy (Beth) Enlow of Crawfordsville, two grandsons, Joshua and Cameron, four sisters, Sue Elmore, Mary Ann Baker, Nance Crull and Kay Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Enlow, and nephew, Kyle Anderson.

No public services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
