Charles G. “Chuck” Dumars, 92, of 1421 Loffler Ct., Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls.
He was born May 25, 1920 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Charles O. and Barbara (Dresel) Dumars.
Chuck served in the U.S. Marines from January 7, 1942 to October 19, 1945. He was the first marine to enlist from Chippewa Falls.
On July 20, 1945 he married Lucille Lloyd at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls.
He owned and operated Dumars Electric for over 50 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls. Over Chuck’s lifetime he donated over 12 gallons of blood.
Chuck is survived by: one sister, Ione Murphy of Chippewa Falls; his special niece, Diane (Merlin) Peil of Bloomer; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lucille on January 18, 2010; one son, Daniel in infancy; and his parents.
Rev. Robert Hoekstra will officiate at 11 a.m. Friday, October 19 at the burial of cremains in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
