The Day God Called You Home

God looked around his garden, And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this Earth, And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never, Get well on Earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered, "Peace by Thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home

As We Look Back

As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering Did we remember to thank you enough For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity.

We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best And for the simple things Like laughter, smiles and times we shared. If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, We're thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us.
