Olga F. Babcock, age 93, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 16, 2012 at the Valley VNA Assisted Living Center in Neenah. She was born on April 5, 1919 in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Ernest and Rosa (Zurcher) Haldemann. On November 18, 1939 she married Carlton Babcock in Neenah, and their marriage was blessed with two children. Carlton preceded her in death on March 27, 2004. Olga and Carlton owned and operated a dairy farm for many years in the town of Clayton, where they both were very active in the community. Olga was a member of the Theda Clark Auxiliary for many years, and a member of the Ladies of Grace at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. She was a great cook, she enjoyed time spent with friends, and traveling with Carlton. Olga was a thoughtful and gracious mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Sharron (Edward J) Miller, Kewaskum, James (Linda) Babcock, Brookfield; grandchildren: Pat(Wendy) Miller, Doug (Susan) Miller, Ken (Terry) Miller, Cheryl (Derek) Peterson, Chrissy Babcock, Tim (Mary) Babcock; 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband Carlton, she was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
The Funeral Service for Olga will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (8396 Steeple Hill Drive, Winchester) with Pastor Dan Luett officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Grace Lutheran Church.
