Frank P. Ball, 93, of Paris, MO, formerly of California, passed away at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, Mo. on Sunday, October 14, 2012.
Mr. Ball was born Nov. 17, 1918 at Seneca, MO., the son of Corbett and Myrtle Price Ball. He was married to Betty Fix on Sept. 28, 1945 at Columbus, Kansas. She predeceased him. He was a construction concrete worker. Mr. Ball was a WWII veteran, serving from 1942 until Oct. 1945 and fought in battles in Central Europe, Rhineland, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, European, African and Middle Eastern campaigns. He received 5 bronze stars, good conduct medals for European, African and Middle Eastern Theater Campaigns, no time lost lapel button, 2 overseas bars and AFR score of 77.
Mr. Ball is survived by a sister, Dorothy (Thomas Lynn) Jones of Paris, a brother, Floyd (Ann) Ball of Seneca, MO., and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held in California with burial in Riverside National Cemetery at Riverside, Calif.
