Brother Fred Moss was the first born of Fred Moss, Sr. and Rosa Moss. He entered this world on July 25, 1925. Bro. Moss departure from this world was on February 29, 2012, aboard the late evening train to glory.

Bro. Fred Moss married Verna Chatman, two times. From each union, came a child, Fred Moss, III and Norma Moss. He married Mary Moss. After her death, Mr. Moss later married Katherine Gillis. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2005.

Bro. Moss joined the St. Paul United Methodist Church at an early age and served until he moved to New York. Upon marrying Mary, Bro Moss converted to the Catholic faith. His marriage to Katherine Gillis led him to the Lowly Nazarene Baptist Church where the Reverend Willie Cooper is Pastor. Bro. Moss served faithfully until death.

Bro. Fred Moss, Jr.'s early educatio nwas in the Lake Charles, Louisiana and Port Arthur School Districts. However, his worldwide travel afforded him a wealth of knowledge. He was drafted into the United States Navy, where he joined the Merchant Marines and worked on cruise ships. He retired as a doorman after 30 years of service.

Love ones preceding him in death: Mary Moss, Katherine Gills Moss and Verna Chatman Moss Hawkins (wives). Rosa Moss (Mother); Fred Moss Sr., (Father); Charles and Cornelius Moss, (brothers); and one (sister) Liza Cason.

Loved one honoroing his memories are: Norma Moss, (daughter); Fred Moss, III, (son); Fred Moss, IV, (grandson); Alafair Paig Moss, (great granddaughter0; Kierra Roy, (granddaughter); Clarence Moss, (brother); Jenny Berry, (sister); Sandra Parker and Bertha Bell (surrogate daughters). A host of relatives and friends will surely miss him. A special "Thank You" to Thelma and Linda.
