Eric Walter Brown age 26, of Waupun, was called home unexpectedly by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Eric was born March 23, 1982 in Fond du Lac, the son of Gary and Kathy (Pugh) Brown. He was a Markesan High School class of 2000 graduate. Eric was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Markesan and was presently employed as a construction worker with Joseph Lorenz Inc. Eric had a real zest for life, living it to the fullest every day. He enjoyed bow hunting, shooting pool, antique John Deere tractor pulling and was an avid motorcycle and four wheeler enthusiast. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family and friends, playing games like Monopoly and enjoying the company of his dog, Sadie.
Eric is lovingly survived by his mother, Kathy (Rob) Whitehouse, Markesan; his father, Gary (Marsha) Brown, Brandon; a sister, Shari (Chris) Hayes, Oshkosh; two brothers, Joe Brown and special friend, Tracy Knutson, and Jim Brown and special friend, Alison Berg, all of Markesan. He is further survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Virginia Brown, maternal grandparents, Orville and Blanche Pugh, three uncles and an aunt, Ronald and Phyllis Brown, Roger Pugh and Gene Bertram.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Faith Lutheran Church, N1529 State Road 73, Markesan with the Rev. Paul Krause officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairwater Cemetery. Eric’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund is being established in Eric’s name.
