Richard L. Maiocco

Richard L. Maiocco, age 68, of Stratford, beloved husband of Mary Caple Maiocco, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. Richard, a Real Estate Agent for William Raveis Real Estate Agency, was born in Bridgeport to Marie (Benedetto) Maiocco, of Florida and the late Egidio Maiocco, and has been a long time area resident. He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep Class of 1962 and Bridgeport Engineering Institute Class of 1971, and was a former Engineer for the Burndy Corp, and General Electric. Rich, was an avid golfer and fan of the New York Giants, and the University of Maryland “Terps”. Above all else, he loved spending time with his beloved family. Survivors in addition to his wife and mother, include his devoted children Richard Maiocco and his wife Stacey of KY, Kathryn Dudzinski and her husband Keith of MD, and Marie Gill and her husband Michael of MA, 10 cherished grandchildren, Jack, Samantha, Emma, Mary Kathryn, Sarah, Anna, Matthew, Alexandra, Elizabeth, and Joseph, his brothers Leonard Maiocco and his wife Judy of CO, and Robert Maiocco and his wife Margie of NH, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 3rd at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church 220 Shelton Rd Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Richard’s memory to Swim Across the Sound c/o St. Vincent’s MC 2800 Main St Bridgeport, CT. 06606
